World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.
For example, a weapon with the upgrade template ending in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using normal methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.
The player can have up to five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-level version of the item will drop in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a significant possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.
It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best way to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt by using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

When upgrade item upgrade an item the original item will be replaced with the new item. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can make the item more expensive if you do not need it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial but it should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.
Some upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item is highly important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of the unupgraded counterpart.
Requirements
Item upgrading allows players to boost the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
