World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.
If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will be able to gain 3% of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix changing the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for examplefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using standard methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.
The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure how much it can be improved upon a reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it is likely that the item will be obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and some upgrades that offer a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes within a radius around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. item upgrader can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible to level 15.
In the endgame you'll find that the best way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Utilizing a Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to be reached, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is advanced in level.
Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When an item is upgraded by a player, the base item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a drawback since the item may become more expensive even if you don't need it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades . This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will have an initial level and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This is useful for some items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it could waste many resources.
Some upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.
Requirements
The upgrader for items allows players to raise the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and armor) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Each when you upgrade an item, it is given an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to revert to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.
Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For instance, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of the upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs that are listed above.
