The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a different kind of item that gives an increase to your stats. They can be used to upgrade armor, trinkets and weapons.
To determine probabilities, item upgrades employ a "upgrade pity". This system is designed to limit extremes of chance and provide a safety net in the event of an upgrade.
Armor
The item upgrader lets players upgrade the level of their equipment for their trinkets, armor and weapons. The upgrades are applied to the equipment through a visit to an item upgrader NPC with appropriate currencies. The upgrade of an item will upgrade the stats on that item.
This NPC can be found in each major city and is situated at the corner of the square, near an Teleport. The NPC can upgrade any armor, weapon, or trinket except for those which require a quest or crafting.
Note: The device you use to apply an upgrade is a consumable item forever. You cannot apply multiple upgrades to one piece. If you try to do so, the previous upgrade will be overwritten.
Upgrade your equipment to increase the damage, your survival and overall power. If you have Benthic equipment that you acquired from the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at ilvl 385 and is upgradeable using [Prismatic manapearlsor [Prismatic manapearls]. Upgrades to PvE equipment are account-wide. Upgrades to your PvP gear require the use of a specific currency, such as [Valorstones] and [Harbinger Crests[Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade additional gear within an armor slot decreases after the first upgrade.
Weapons
Weapons are an essential part of any successful character, whether used to ward off a murderous creature, kill an intruder, win an shooting contest or simply hang on a wall. Whatever way you decide on using a particular weapon, you should be aware that it can be upgraded and evolve depending on your style of play.
You can upgrade your weapon by visiting a blacksmith with a Weapon workbench. It is located in the right-hand wing of the Roundtable Hold hub area, Blacksmith Hewg is a great choice to upgrade your primary weapon. There is also an Smithing Master called Iji located at the "Road to the Manor" Site of Grace in the northwestern region of Liurna of the Lakes. Smithing Master Iji improves both armor and weapons.
As a rule upgrading an item can increase its weapon's level by 5. Azerite weapons (see below) or other weapons with special abilities will have their ilvl increase by 15 for all upgrades. The player can only have one upgrade in play at any one time. If you attempt to apply an upgrade to a weapon which already has an upgrade it will fail and the weapon will go back to its previous ilvl.
Upgrades do not just increase the value of an item, but also give it additional stats that can be used to increase its effectiveness. Some of these improvements are passive, while others may provide increased damage, speedier attack as well as increased range or strike chance.
Ashes of War weapons are awarded when certain bosses of raid are defeated. Whetblades are rare items that unlock new Affinities for weapons.
When a weapon is upgraded the weapon will continue to receive upgrades for as long as the player has the correct upgrade materials and currency in the table. You should be aware that weapons can only reach the level of 25 and not higher. Players should upgrade their weapons only after having obtained the maximum number of upgrades possible from the regular and Whetblade item.
Trinkets
Trinkets are a special item that offer a range of Boosts. They can be upgraded as other equipment by directly interacting with the Item Upgrader.
Stardew Valley is the place where you can find an item upgrading tool. To use it, you must first remove any weapons or armor that you have equipped. The NPC will then appear with the red banner "Equiped" over his head.
