The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats, and sometimes increases its other features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements applied.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item, such as a weapon, armor or rings. This allows you to swap the item for a different one of the same type, with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens can be an economical method of upgrading equipment. They don't maintain the original equipment's condition, and any resources wasted won't get compensated.

The survivors can get Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in crates and chests, or purchased at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to change the attribute of an item of equipment for example, increasing the damage it can cause.

Players can roll equipment with three categories: physical power, spell power and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage of melee and weapons attack and spell power upgrade mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.

There are three types of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to higher quality. To create them, you require a higher level token for rerolling. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The marker for rerolling, unlike markers or tokens placed on action areas, remains on the space until the next success is to be rerolled. This helps to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.

Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. Once they are open, they display a full description and the icon of the relevant appliance or ingredient. In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve armor, weapons and other items. These are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a price. Moreover, players can obtain these stones by completing daily contracts.

To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". The screen will show a summary of the item's level, and what it will be after being leveled-up. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Most often, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.

After choosing the item to upgrade the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. Once the requirements are fulfilled, the player may then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a specific percentage. Depending on the item's rarity, the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes.

The upgrade process is risk-free, and does not impact the durability of the item. This makes it an excellent method for players to get a significant advantage in combat without straining their bank accounts. Furthermore, players can transfer the experience and the progress of an upgraded item to a new one by clicking on the "transfer" tab.


For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. However, there are  item upgrade  to obtain these stones, such as completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests that are available during the Ancient Arena season. In addition players can also take apart the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is a feature that lets players increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. It is accomplished by the combination of an item with upgrades at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will be upgraded to an upgrade to a higher level. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item has been reached.

Items that have upgraded stats will display an icon of blue next to their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components don't stack with each other, but can only be added to a single item at one time. Furthermore, each upgrade component will require a particular number of items to be added and an appropriate level for the equipment.

Upgrades to items give players the ability to increase certain stats on weapons and armor that they currently have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary depending on its type however, you'll usually require Dilithium along with the number of Upgrade tokens.

Upgrades to items can be incorporated into equipment sets and weapons for extra effects or a higher item level. These upgrades can come from many sources, including crafting, buying at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is inserted into an object, it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However it is possible to swap glyphs freely.

Upgrades can boost the Mark Level or Rarity. Additionally, some upgrade components include additional modifiers that can increase the stats of an item.

For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and also provides an additional 20% chance to block. The DPS "Wildfire", however, increases weapon damage.

Certain items are better off being upgraded less for their increased stats and more for the fact that it lets players get the most value from a perfect roll on the item. For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.
